Watercolour Painting Holidays 2013
with Ann Mortimer SFP
Dear friends,
I’m writing tell you all about two residential watercolour
painting holidays I am offering in 2013.
The package includes full tuition in a designated,
comfortable studio and two nights’ accommodation in en-suite rooms with
coffee/tea making facilities, television and wi-fi, as well as a light lunch
every day and a three-course dinner on the Monday and Tuesday evenings.
Both courses will begin on Monday at 10am and will
have three full days painting, packing up at 3-4pm on Wednesday.
This year we will have an
extra dimension - my daughter Sophie, a trained Yoga teacher, qualified
Holistic Massage Therapist and an accomplished artist in her own right is
helping with the courses. She will be offering optional gentle morning yoga as part of the package and
evening massage at £15 per half hour session for anyone who would like to find deep relaxation after a hard
days painting.
The venue is Alison House Hotel and Conference
Centre in the heart of the picturesque and historic Derbyshire Peak District
village of Cromford - www.alison-house-hotel.co.uk. It is a
comfortable, friendly, fully licensed hotel in beautiful surroundings.
The price will be £375 everything included, with
non-painting partners at £150. Non-resident painters are welcome at £250
(includes all lunches and dinners).
Dates for the courses:
Mon 24th – Wed 26th June 2013
Mon 9th – Wed 11th Sept 2013
I’m really looking forward to this. I know we can
have a wonderful painting break away from it all, with everything laid on and no
worries apart from having to change our painting water every now and again. Bliss!
The course will be studio based with the option of
doing some sketching and painting within the grounds. I envisage doing a
mixture of flowers and landscape/ gardens/ features, but I will send you more
details later on.
